Letter from the Founder

Today, as compared to previous generations, parents are more challenged to ensure that their children always feel safe. But convenience and material comforts seem to have exceeded our core values, resulting in our children being much less safe in our communities.

With advanced technology, our kids have unlimited opportunities to be creative and make their dreams come true. Unfortunately, as it exists today and continues to develop, technology has created an increasingly less safe environment online for children. Coupled with the continued threat of child sexual abuse in our schools, after-school activities, religious organizations, and summer camps, the issue is even more prevalent.

There are easy-to-use, convenient, free online tools available for parents to ensure that kids are safe from child sexual abuse while still allowing them to enjoy being kids. If you need support so that your children are afforded the same opportunities to stay safe, reach out for help. The children of today and those in future generations will have the same risks of being subject to sexual abuse if there is no paradigm shift.

Many of the companies that have the wherewithal to curtail this unsafe environment, understandably, do not do enough, due to concerns of potential loss of business opportunities. I challenge these organizations to think about creating a safer environment for children while developing even more fun and excitement for kids and, at the same time, earning significant financial gains for their companies. It is possible. And by the way, these same companies are made up of parents in communities that have children that are presently subject to the same risks.

As a survivor, the effects have been profound in ways that I would not wish on any child, family, or community to endure. And having happy children that feel safe and loved is priceless.

Through innovation and collaboration, Safe & Loved will be a driving force to ensure kids are far safer from child sexual abuse than they are today. For real. I hope you join me in this quest. And please pass our message along to everyone that you know: awareness and action, especially in collaboration with others, are essential to achieving the intended result. And doing the right thing creates a win for all.
