Submission of Funding Grant (RFP)
If you are interested in securing funding for your project, we invite you to complete the Request for Proposal (RFP). This RFP is designed to gather essential information about your project’s goals, implementation strategy, expected outcomes, and budget requirements. Submitting a detailed and well-prepared proposal will allow us to evaluate your project’s alignment with our funding priorities and assess its potential for impact. Please ensure that all required sections are completed thoroughly to facilitate a fair and efficient review process.
SUMMARY
Safe & Loved Foundation is dedicated to preventing child sexual abuse. We aim to play a crucial role in addressing one of the most pervasive and underreported forms of child maltreatment, which requires urgent attention and action. We are creating and developing innovative tools to eradicate child sexual abuse through technology, research, and education. Additionally, we provide financial support to enterprises developing similar tools to combat child sexual abuse.
All applicants should hold a similar mission to Safe & Loved Foundation. We will be selecting projects on a rolling basis. Each selected applicant will receive grant awards determined by their level of need and the provided budget. There are no specified minimum or maximum grant amounts, allowing flexibility in funding allocation based on individual project requirements and financial necessity. This approach ensures that resources are distributed equitably, addressing the unique needs of each applicant without imposing rigid financial constraints.
RFP SPECIFICS
Project Requirements Must:
- Be specifically focused on innovative solutions that address child sexual abuse prevention.
- Be in the early stages of development with the ambition to scale.
- Include a technological component to enhance their effectiveness and scalability to create impactful and sustainable outcomes. To qualify for a grant, your project proposal must feature child sexual abuse prevention technology that has not yet been distributed widely. This criterion ensures that funding supports innovative solutions that advance the field and address unmet needs in child protection. By focusing on novel technologies, the grant aims to foster groundbreaking approaches that can significantly enhance the safety and well-being of children. Ensure your proposal clearly demonstrates the uniqueness potential impact of your technology to meet this requirement.
Application Instructions
Applicants should submit their project proposal electronically via email to Leslie Brand on a rolling basis, with the subject line “Safe & Loved Foundation—Proposal Submission.” While there is no required format for project proposals, the following must be addressed in the submission:
- Executive Summary: Before completing a more detailed proposal, please draft a concise overview of the project that highlights the main objectives, key deliverables, anticipated outcomes, and any critical timelines or resource requirements.
- WHO:
• Organizational Capacity: Demonstrate your organization’s expertise and experience in the project.
• Project Team: Introduce the individuals who will be involved in the project and generally highlight their relevant skills and qualifications. - WHAT:
• Project Description: Concisely and comprehensively describe the project itself, including its goals, activities, and expected outcomes.
• Specific Objectives: Define clear and measurable objectives that align with the project’s goals and Safe & Love’s funding priorities.
• Innovation and Uniqueness: What makes your project stand out and how it offers a novel or effective approach to addressing the identified issues. - WHERE:
• Geographic Scope: Specify the geographic area where the project will be implemented and the potential in the future to scale both on national and global levels.
• Project Location(s): If the project involves specific locations or facilities, describe them and their suitability for the proposed activities.
• Community/Partner Engagement: Highlight any community engagement or partnerships that will be involved in the project implementation. - WHY:
• Statement of Need: Articulate the problem or need that the project addresses, supported by evidence and data, if available.
• Urgency and Impact: Clearly demonstrate why the problem requires immediate attention and the potential consequences of inaction.
• Alignment with Safe & Love’s Mission: Explain how the project’s goals align with our mission, values, and funding priorities. - HOW:
• Methodology and Approach: Outline the specific methods, strategies, and activities that will be used to achieve the project’s objectives.
• Timeline, Work Plan, and Budget: Provide a realistic timeline, a detailed work plan outlining the project’s key milestones and activities, and a budget for the project, by month. If your project is selected for funding, we will work with you in developing a detailed budget.
• Evaluation Plan: Describe how the project’s impact will be measured and evaluated to demonstrate its effectiveness.If your proposal is selected, we will request a Zoom interview before making a final decision.
